Summer Program

In an effort to bring jazz culture and creative performance opportunities to an unserved population in Waterloo Region, Jazz for Adults is a new initiative directed toward the adult Jazz for Adults will launch its inaugural program from July 11-15, 2016, coinciding with the Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival weekend (July 15-17).  Have you always wanted to learn jazz but thought it was too late? Are you classically trained but interested in entering the jazz world? Are you a total beginner looking to explore jazzy musical horizons? This program is for you! Join Mary-Catherine Pazzano, local jazz singer, and other talented jazz mentors in a week-long jazz day camp geared toward adult singers/instrumentalists. You will learn about jazz style, performance, and technique within a combo setting. Musicians and students of all musical levels are welcome! Whether you have a background in playing or singing jazz, and are looking to expand your skills, or whether you have no background in jazz at all, Mary-Catherine and her team will ensure you have the tools necessary to be successful! Rehearse and learn from Monday-Friday, and then showcase your talents with an audience on the afternoon of Friday, July 15!
