Cameron Streicher
Cameron Streicher is a pianist, piano teacher, singer, and choral director. He studied piano at Wilfrid Laurier University with Prof. Anya Alexeyev and Dr. Joseph Ferretti and graduated with a double degree in Music Education and Music Theory. Cam has received many awards including the Evelyn Mae McLaughlin Award for Music Education, the WLU President’s Award, and the Laurier Alumni Gold Medal Award for the Faculty of Music. Performance engagements have included solo recitals in Manitoba and throughout Ontario. He is an active piano examiner with the Canadian National Conservatory of Music, a festival adjudicator, and a member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association (ORMTA).
Cam also has strong interests in vocal music, in particular choral music. He has studied vocal performance with Sandra Tucker and Brandon Leis and choral conducting with Dr. Lee Willingham and Dr. Gerard Yun. He is the founder and director of a community choir in Milverton called Village Voices and is the current director of the Trinity Youth Choir. Cam is also on faculty at the A Cappella Choir Camp in Jamaica, sings in Oasis Chorale, and is a past member of Da Capo chamber choir in Kitchener.
