Anne Lukaszewicz, Music Therapist
Anne Lukaszewicz is a board certified (MT-BC) and accredited music therapist (MTA) with the Canadian Association of Music Therapy. Anne holds a degree from the masters of music therapy program at Wilfrid Laurier University (MMT) and a Bachelor of Musical Arts (BA) from Western University majoring in voice.
Anne has years of experience working in medical and mental health settings, working with a range of diverse populations in hospitals, school boards, as well as a variety of healthcare inpatient and outpatient settings. She has worked with individuals across the lifespan from children to older adults. Client populations include: mental health; geriatric inpatient psychiatry; behavioural neurology; dementia day programs/ long term care units; and adolescents with developmental disabilities in school settings / residential treatment centres.
Anne provides music therapy in group, individual, or dual sessions focusing on cognitive, physical and psychosocial therapeutic goals and objectives. Techniques are adapted from the following therapeutic approaches: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Aesthetic Music Therapy (AeMT), Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT), and psychoeducation. All music therapy sessions are a collaborative process with the client and therapist.
